Best finisher
In football today ? I mean real football. My vote goes to Ronaldinho, even though he is not a striker by position. But he deserves a place in this poll.

Re: Best finisher
Brazilian of course. I wouldn't put Man Utd. C Ronaldo in their league. I am surprised nobody so far called for Henry, he is not bad you know.

Nistelrooy has my vote. I like roberto carlos too,but he hasn't been performing as well as he use to.

Re: Best finisher
I picked Henry, although I was tempted by Van Horse and Ronaldo. I really would not call Ranaldinho a great finisher at all his skill lies in his play. The main reason Ronaldo didnt get the vote was at the moment he just aint doing it.

But finisher shouldn't neccesary mean a Striker. A finisher for me would be one, who when provided with a sight of goal, even with half reasonable chances, could use his skills to convert it into a goal. Doesn't ronaldinho fit that description?? Again, you are entitled to your opinion.

Re: Best finisher
I wonder if Rooney getting no votes is based upon his misses yesterday (should have bagged a hattrick)
I think the question is about which players have made the bigger name for themselves as prolific, for me only Henry and Ronaldo live up to this at the moment especially on the world stage, but who knows? After the next world cup we may be saying other names.

Actually American Football was invented from Rugby, just as Rugby was invented from Football. So surely it should be called...

I personally do not consider rooney to be as prolific as the other guys mentioned on this poll. He's good, but you cannot put him up with Henry or Ronaldinho.

Pah, Rooney... As said, nowhere near as good as Henry or Ronaldinho. Or even Shevshenko or Raul!

Fernando Torres will come good. And, if he plays, Messi will be a joy to watch. They're much better than 'our kid'

Re: Best finisher
I agree, Rooney isn't as good a finisher as the others mentioned but he does make a massive difference to the England side because he can link well to the midfield, so Rooney is out Owen is unfit and now England have no chance.

Re: Best finisher
England will never win a tournament until they stop putting one player as their saviour. A team wins games, not an individual player. As for Rooney being out, yes it's a shame but there are plenty of other decent strikers to choose from

I think we should use more Welsh players on the England team. They can sing the anthem at the start.
