Hey I made a Cheerleading Movie
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...S+Cheerleading
ADDED NOTE: I'm a Male, My Name is Matt, I'm friends with the cheerleaders, I AM NOT a cheerleader...
A friend of mine and I made this cheerleading video, would like some criticism
He just bought a powerbook so we used it; used iMovie to create it which, I have to admit, it was extremely easy, much easier than Adobe Premiere...
Anyways, just would like criticism.
Just remember, this is the first real big video editing I've ever done...
In my opinion I think it turned out nicely.
INFO:
M&N Productions have done it again, with another hit movie out. This time they've made the cheerleading video. This video is a tribute to the Moberly High School cheerleaders and their senior friends who are leaving the squad. The movie is 13:51 in length and is composed of practices, and their dress rehersal before their state competition showing their state routine all fit to top hit songs. Also included are the seniors expressing how they felt about the year and their last words for their girls and coaches.
Hope you like it

Edit: Oh yeah, remember it's pretty low quality because it's on Video.Google.com.. I have a 140MB AVI somewhere which has the video in much higher quality.
Edit: DVD Cover I made:

Re: Hey I made a Cheerleading Movie
Very nice.
I like the camera "below" the talking head shots - great technique to make them look larger.
Lots of action - sometimes you should have led the movement more. Like at 5:50 - the group started moving to the right and the camera was slow to follow.
Remember that if you divide the screen into 9 boxes, that center box is boring and should be avoided. For the most part you followed this technique well. The outside speaking shots - subject off to the left or right talking into the center of the screen.
Some neater and more consistent effects for transistions - at 12:25 fading to black was a bit harsh when the music and action simply just started back up.
The cuts did match the music and beat well for that skit at the end - that was nice (although I can always fight with myself to make a cut go back two frames one way or forward three frames another way). That visual cut attached to the audio is what makes the whole experience pleasurable for a person (without them knowing it).
What did you use to edit the video?

Re: Hey I made a Cheerleading Movie
We used some really cheap $200 Canon and Panosonic Digital Video Cameras to shoot the video. They were the schools, this was not a school project though. We edited the video on my friends new Mac using iMovie.
yeah, I've never really shot video with a video camera, photography is more my thing, Maybe I can show you my good stuff sometime.. I have a Canon Rebel XT and Love it
@szlamany Always pleased to receive your support whether its on cheerleading videos or SQL Databases
