    Cool

Does Windows XP sound any good? I am wondering if it will be better or worse than Win98/95 and Win2000. I hear it is a combination of Win98 and WinME. I also know that it is supposed to be a big jump like when Win95 first came out. Is there something like renting the operating system that Microsoft came up with?

I appreciate any opinions or clarifications

When was the last time a version of Windows wasn't going to be revolutionary?

Since they are finally doing away with the DOS support it should run a lot better. I will prob. check it out. I have had Windows 2000 since it came out and I love it. Its stable like a rock.

Do you think that Windows XP will be better than Linux or the new MacOS that is coming out? Isn't it supposed to catch up to the ease of use with MacOS so Microsoft can take over both businesses and regular consumers?

Thats kinda comparing apples and oranges. They want Windows XP to be as stable as Linux and as easy to use as MacOS. But you really cant compare them much more than that. Linux is open source and Windows isnt. MacOS is made for retards that cant learn Windows.

Take over? They already have the business market and home market cornered pretty much. I dont think they can take over much more. They can only try to keep from loosing customers.

Guess What's the XP is ?

    XP Stands For Experience.

BTW..The Next Version of Office (office 10) is also
    Renamed as OFFICE XP.
The Sudden Change in Versioning is to avoid the Strange Naming Convention
Of a Porduct that Would be released a Year later.

    Wink

XP has gotta be more stable because you are going to have to phone up to get an ID every time you reinstall it. At the current rate that means 8-16 hours at the phone per workstation every three months.

XP also allows micfrosoft to bill you annually for all the XP software that you are using.
