Thumbnails
In the Attatchment page there is a link named Show Thumbnails
After clicking it changes to Hide Thumbnails. But there is NO thumbnail shown. Image attatchments still appears as icon in the attatchment list.
What the link does ?
I searched the forum, but there is no page with 'Thumbnail' in FF.

Re: "Show Thumbnails" in Attatchment page
It has never worked and is a vBulletin issue that they need to fix I believe.

Re: [RESOLVED] "Show Thumbnails" in Attatchment page
No prob. Its been broken since we upgraded to 3.0.0 last year.
It would be nice if it worked so you can get a preview of the attachment image instead of clicking and opening each one.

Re: [RESOLVED] "Show Thumbnails" in Attatchment page
Yes. That would have been very nice.
Another question,
In some other vBulletin forums I've seen that, they shows thumbnails of images in thread. Not the full image. The image is still there as an attatchment. If a member wants to see the full image, they clicks the link and the attatchment opens in a nrw window.
I think it is good. It saves both the server's and the member's bandwidth, and the thread looks nice. Is there any way to change my settings like this ?
If not, is there any plan for future ?

There is no issue with vB, but it requires that the server has GD enabled in PHP. If it is not enabled then the thumbnail generation will not work.
Edit: Or the attachment thumbnails may need to be rebuilt.

Sorry. I don't get it.
Do you mean that normal threads are supposed to show only thumbnails too inside [img ] tag. (that's what I tried to say)
But that thumbnail bug affects normal threads ?

Re: Thumbnails
Sorry, thought we were still on the CP attachments issue. I see your talking about a thread attachment now. Maybe they have that feature in a new release.

Nope. They are using vBulletin Version 3.0.1
We are using vBulletin Version 3.0.12

Re: Thumbnails
It is most likely a hack. I think you can set whether attached images show as thumbnails or not, but not inside [img] tags. That would be a large load on the server when generating the page, whereas attachment thumbnails are built when the attachment is uploaded.

Can it be done that, in user CP we can choose if we want to see thumbnails of attatched images or the full image itself ?
For [img ] tags, we can select on/off like now and add another feature "Display link to image only" ?

Re: Thumbnails
Don't know, but it is a forum-wide setting in the admin CP, and I don't think it also exists in the user CP.
At any rate we'd have to enable GD first, or rebuild thumbnails or whatever the current issue is.

Re: Thumbnails
Yes, other then the usual way of creating a thumbnail linked to a larger image, like post #17, its not going to happen. Now, if you have a large thread with lots of images then that would be advisable so the download time is minimal.
