Installing Fedora Core 4 to external drive

As the title says. I'm trying to install Fedora Core to a external laptop hd (I'm using a casing for it, USB connection). And I'm trying to figure out how to make Fedora see the external HD so I can tell Fedora to install itself to there. I know I have to tell it to mount it, but I'm a linux newbie.
    Any help please?
