Resolved [RESOLVED] Asus Mobo and PC2700 Ram

    Hi guys.

    Can anyone answer this...

I have an ASUS P4S8X-X motherboard with an SiS 648 chipset.
According to the specs it has 3 184-DIMM sockets and supports 3GB of PC2700/PC2100/PC1600 non-ECC ram.

At the moment I have 2x256 PC2700 rams in it, and I would like to add 1x512 PC2700 in the last slot.

    Now, here's my question:
Does it support it? I think I read somewhere that SiS only supports 2 DIMM sockets when using PC2700

    Can anyone confirm this?

Can I just plug a 512 Mb block in there or do I need to buy 2x512Mb and discard the 256Mb blocks I have now?

    Thanks.
I wish I could think of something witty to put in my sig...
