    answering mechine

    i want to make an answering mechine with vb,so i need a source code to send a sound from *.wav files throgh the phone. So the modem can speak "this is an answering mechine, press 1 to leave a message, press 2 for fax". so i also need a source code to make the computer know which button that the caller pushed. thank u

    I agree with Dave.

    The other thing you can do is look into a solution. Alot of companies already have phone systems like this that you can purchase. It all depends on whether A) you're making this to become a better programmer or B) you actually need this for a project.

    If it's A, provide some source code, do some research. There's alot involved with this. If it seems overwhelming, work up to it. Asking someone to give you the code and build it for you isn't the least bit educational.

    If it's B, check out this site. They have a couple different models you can use and will be able to provide support.
