    Looking for a handful of people to test licensing DLL

    I decided to make licensing of my products easier I would try and write myself a "license" activex DLL in VB6. I'm looking for a few people to give it a test run outside of my environment. You will not be given the source for obvious reasons, so I would appreciate any feedback on crackability as much as useability.

    If you aren't giving the source how can anyone be sure that the compiled component has nothing malicious in it?

    I guess that's why I'm looking for testers. I would assume that anyone volunteering to test an application would take whatever precautions (virtual machine, etc.) to insure that any beta software they're testing wouldn't be harmful.

    But if it makes you feel better, I personally guarantee that there isn't any intentially malicious code.

    I'd like to point out to you (and anybody who thinks about testing for you), that the last sentence you posted is the same kind of thing said by everyone who has ever posted any form of malicious code on this site.

    If you want an independant person to verify your code you can send it to me - I check all programs in the UtiltyBank in this way. I will also not keep the code (apart from the morality issue, I can almost certainly write better myself if I had a need for it).

    Since I've obviously hit a sore spot with some people...would any of you suggest a better approach to obtaining independent testers?
