Challenges?

Maybe the wrong forum and maybe this wheel has been invented about a thousand times

A funny idea:

Coding Challenges.. Like every week a new challenge is brought up of which anyone can participate - ofcourse some experience is required as the challenges would otherwise be a bit too easy.

A few challenge-ideas:

- Make a virus scanner that's has atleast 2 definitions of virii (or virusses)
- Create an Messenger clone which can communicate with a specified server (made by the jury) (of course with protocol specs)
- Make a ZIP file viewer

Etc. etc.

The jury would consist out of 3 experienced developers which can check the code. The rules would ofcourse include things like Not copying or borrowing code from PSC/VBforums and such

Like I said.. I guess the wheel has been reinvented again ^.^

Edit: Though the contest area seems rather dead imho =(
