I have started this thread because of that stupid error that pops up in napster when you want to play music... ( i know i have posted this topic b4 but it just deserves one more go)

Napster is a "music service"..it helps spread "music" throughout the community..because people love too listen to "music"....in light of this..what does the new versions of napster do??? IT DOESNT PLAY "MUSIC".

Am i the only one that is bothered by the "Cannot opne playback device..it might already be in use" crap?

This error in the napster program makes as much sense as aqua man drowning in a tub full of water.

Do you have Winamp or Media Player or something like that up at the same time?

It happens to me too sometimes. Sometimes when I have other stuff open, sometimes all on its own. It won't play anything once it's given you that message, so you have to exit Napster and restart it, then it will play. It's really annoying.

    Angry That is the thing...

I only use napster... and i never have any other kind of media running when i use napster... so i know it isnt any other program causing napster to $#@!%&*... i know i am not the only one with this problem because ..well obviously since harry already mentioned it...he has the same problem..and another friend of mine has the same problem.

This "cannot open playback device it might already be in use!" business started back in napster beta 7 i think....
I thought it was a problem on my end at first..but i updated napster (which was mistake #1) and i got a windows update from msdn.

I dont want to use another .mp3 player because i am already use to using napster...but if i have to i will.... too bad though...

This is why I use winamp....

but it's still annoying as hell listening to music... every once in a while, my sound card decides to **** up, and I get a very loud annoying SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH...
