Hi Guys, when i switch on my pc, my monitor is not showing anything and the beeps sound comes from the tower itself : beep....beep beep. Any sugesstion whats wrong? I suspect its the graphic card problem as it is not stable after i format my harddisk sometime ago. This sound occurs after i switch from CRT to LCD and now i use back CRT monitor still not working. Thanks

Re: PC Funny Sound
http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm : 1 long, 2 short Indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information.
Try reseating your video card.

Yes pull it out, blow any dust from the slot, then push it back in again. Make sure it in all the way. If that doesn't work, you may need a new video card. I'd suggest tring it on another machine if you can, before shelling out the money though.

Re: PC Funny Sound
hi guys sorry..have heard the beeps wrongly...it should be like this:
long beep once, beep beep...............beep beep
it seems like one long beep and 4 short beeps with the dots as time interval..the website above does not reflect this type of beeps combination.. ...and the pc will self restart by itself after a while

Hmm well I'd still try pulling out your video card and reinserting it. Maybe do you RAM too. If that doesn't work you could try resetting the BIOS, there's usually a jumper by the battery to do it.
