[RESOLVED] Transfer Access Table to MapPoint Map
I have a form in MS Access with a list box listing several stores. I have an event tied to a command button that builds a table based on the stores and their respective zip codes. Now, I want to automatically launch Microsoft MapPoint and map those stores in MapPoint. I have the VBA references for MapPoint loaded, but do not know how to call the application (MapPoint) or transfer the data to the application.
So, I want my code to do the following:
1) Build table
2) Launch MapPoint application
3) Create map using newly created table

Re: Transfer Access Table to MapPoint Map
I have never used map point, but there is on most office apps a record macro. Perhaps this (if it is there) can assist you in coding what you want.
I assume you can do step 1.
Step 2 would be using the references or 'GetObject' or 'CreateObject'
Step 3 would be the trick part. If there is coding help on map point you might be aable to create a map via code then all you'd need to do is read the data in the new table, looping through the records and updating the map as required.
Feeling like a fly on the inside of a closed window (Thunk!)
If I post a lot, it is because I am bored at work! ;D Or stuck...

I simply used the run command to open and update MapPoint.
