RE: mySQL Connection in Visual Studio

    Hi,

Am currently using visual studio academic 2002 (dont like 03 or 05) and it wont connect to mySQL. using the system connections and all server information is correct, so are the database names.

The problem I am getting is that it wont connect adn I get this error...

[MYSQL] [ODBC 3.51 driver host] (server name) is not allowed to connect to this server.

All the information is correct and I stil cnat get it to work. I have tyried building a custom connection ,jusing my own preconnected drivers, checked the connections against the mySQL connections that are in place for the platform itself, and stil nothing is working

    Any ideas everybody???

Have you visited the MySQL site?

I'm certain that they have information on how to connect to their product using the various versions of the .NET framework.
