RESOLVED Detecting Security through web page
Hi all, ive been looking around for an example on how those anoying pop ups that detect whether my pc is infected with adware or virus work.
Now my question is:
Are they for real ? or is it just a dummy page?
If they are for real how can i biuld one, but not for anying pop purposes. I run a small biz in repairs, service & upgrades of pc's. What i would like to do is when a customer calls me with a adware/Virus problem there is always a customer that doubts what you are telling them (I guess its human nature). So if these pages are for real in detecting at least some adware/virus, i can direct my customer to this page where they can chek it out for them selves. And hope that this page can back up my advise.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance

Re: Detecting Security through web page
I'd say 99% of the pop-ups that say click here because your computer may be infected with a virus are simply another form of SPAM. My advise (for what it's worth ) is never click on any pop-up advert.
So to answer your question...real or dummy......dummy.
