I'm programming with Outlook and VB. I want my application to provide suppport for Outlook versions 97/97 and 2000.

I want to add a menu item with 2-3 child menus in to the Mail editor (the window that opens up when the user opens a mail item). I know it is possible with Outlook 2000 with the help of COM-Addins..But I want to do the same thing for other versions of OL. How can I do that? with API I think it would be possible. So that I can manipulate the new menu items from my VB code..Can anyone help me plz?.If possible send me some sample code also.
