    Has detected that web server not running asp.net version 1.1 ???

    I've done the full install of vs.. however it tells me i cannot run asp.net ...

    ive looked for the answer online... and havent found one...

    Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Are you sure it is .NET 2003 and not .NET 2000? Go look in the Admin tools and make sure it says .NET Framework 1.1.

    It says...

    Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration

    It says Version 2003 on the box.

    Is there something i should know about this?

    Hmmm....maybe try to uninstall/reinstall?

    Haha, I am a promoter in Orlando for when I am not stuck behind this computer monitor.....unfortunately the money in promoting for EDM in this town makes it only a side endeavor.

    Haha.. yeah. I worked it for about 8 years.
    Quit about a year ago... I live in NC

    Try registering asp.net with IIS, run this file...

    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe

    If that doesnt work, your default website might not be running.
    Go to administrative tools --> internet information services, expand your local computer, expand websites, right click on Default Web Site and click start.

    If this doesnt work, google it. It is a very common error.

    Im downloading the .net framework and doing a
    Install noaspupgrade... ill try what you said however. Thank You.

    Resolved... woohooo.

    Yeah running the
    "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe"

    in dos... did it.

    Ive never had to do that for the student version i had prior to this.
