why do I have those stupid grey reps?
I just received a rating from a user with over 200 posts and the rating was grey. Why>

Maybe the member didnt have the required minimum of 5 Rep points too.

Because they have a User Reputaion Level of 4 which indicates that they've received enough negative reps to put them below the minimum (5) necessary to be able to give positive reps.
