    Windows Update for Hardware Drivers

    Here is a tip, never update your hardware drivers from Windows Update.

    I upgraded my video card driver, and it basically made it worse and broke some games.

    I had to uninstall every video driver and reinstall from the vendor.

    I've had the same thing, sort of.

    Ever since i downloaded and installed the latest nvidia drivers from their website windows update has recommended some old ones, saying i should update.....

    Needless to day i ignored WU's advice.

    Good tip

    I've had a similar problem when trying to update my modem driver. The modem stopped working immeadiatly after along with my GFX card and network card - reinstalling the old driver fixed it.
