    Changing the Way I login to XP Pro

    I have XP Pro. When I turn on my computer it automatically logs into the Admin account without even prompting me with the Welcome screen.

    How do I change this behavior? I really need to do this for my kids could easily use my admin account and I don't want that!

    Thanks

    In User Accounts, Change the way users log on and off.
    Click the Use Welcome Screen. Add a password, also (recommended)

    You could set a password in your account then change the Account Type of the other users to Limited....

    download Tweak UI for windows xp from microsoft's website. It could be that you do have a password set but windows automatically uses your pass to log you in. If it's so, then using tweak ui do this:
    in the Logon tab, uncheck "logon automatically at system startup"

    To fix this you need to delete the reistry values detailed here:

    http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/13/

    And turn off the ability to remember the last person who logged on:

    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload
