I've written an application for our school network.

    1. The package works on the stand-alone W98 computer it was developed on
    2. It works on a stand-alone W98 computer which does not have VB installed
    3. It works on an NT networked workstation at the school with VB installed
4 IT DOES NOT WORK on an identical networked workstation WITHOUT VB installed

I have tried more than one workstation.

    The error I get is:
    'Runtime error 429
    ActivX component can't create object'

The NT workstation all have Service Pack 4 installed.

What I do not understand is why you can package a product from VB6 without all the neccessary items in place to run on other computers. i.e. repackaged from the NT workstation but won't run on another NT workstation.

    Please help, people!
    Alan

Your problem is, I think, that the program from which you are creating an ActiveX object isn't installed on the other workstation. Try installing the program and retry...

    Good luck,
