Hi all.
Trying to get a computer up and running, and there's a device in the device list under 'other devices' called 'PCI mass storage controller' and I can't work out what it is. It's not installed properly, so basically it's something to do with the hardware that doesn't have drivers installed for it. Any idea where I might find the drivers? I thought maybe it was to do with the UDMA/100 controller on the motherboard (it has 2 EIDE UDMA/33/66 controllers and 2 EIDE UDMA/100 controllers) but I can't seem to find anything for it on the CD that came with the motherboard.
The thing is, it doesn't seem to cause any problems, so I can't pinpoint it that way. It's an ASUS A7V motherboard in case it matters (Socket A, VIA chipset).
So, anybody know what a PCI mass storage controller is for?
Harry.

try giving this spot a shot, lemme know if it's what you're looking for:

PS there isn't a install prog. for the drivers, you'll have to do it manually i believe

Asus have a habit of putting out drivers that are fully functional but do not implement P&P reporting properly. I had a similar problem with a CD-Rom driver that worked fine but reported problems - disappeared when I updated the driver. I wouldn't worry too much.

Cheers both. I'll take a better look at those drivers when the owner of the computer is here. Might already have the latest drivers. Anyway as Paul said since it's not causing any problems I'm not too worried about it
Thanks.
Harry.
