    strange IE behavior

    hi all.

one of the PCs in the office, every time it submits a form on a webpage, comes back with the
"The page cannot be refreshed without resending the information.......Retry.....Cancel......"

basically it's the box that appears when you have submitted a page and then you click refresh/reload.

But this computer is not clicking refresh/reload. The message is coming up when you single click it.

    anybody heard of this?

    Thanks

    Re: strange IE behavior

but it's only happening on one PC. it must be either a setting in IE or some kind of damage to IE.

Yes, the same PC has firefox and the problem doesn't happen.
But, the site that we're concerned about is our own company site, and some of the javascript doesn't work correctly in firefox.

Anybody know how to fix it?

Sure you allready checked it, but what version of IE is on this one macine?

And can't one re-install IE? I'm sure I had the installation somewhere.

Compare IE's settings with the machines working normally?

Not good advice, but just trying to get you away from this "Firefox" ideas...

    Re: strange IE behavior

well, we're viewing the site live, not on our server, on the web host. so it isn't in offline mode. it has no other strange behavior that I've seen.

I guess I will reinstall/update IE and see if that's it. maybe the dreaded service pack even

Gawd, there's always ONE person at least who has to bring this up, please take this advice, GET OVER IT.

If you're running XP w/o XPSP2, I suggest you install that ASAP, fixed a couple of niggling issues in my install, now it works wonders.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
