    Guidance from the wiser

Hi there, i am fairly new to programming (a couple of yrs), mainly have been doing C++ and VB 6. I have just got Visual Studio.NET PRO 2003 and have seen this comes with Visual C# and Visual C++. Is the different the same as C# and C++?? Can you give me a suggestion of which one would be best to progress further into.

    Thanks

C# is a new .NET language, that looks similar syntactically to C/C++

If you've been doing C++ and VB6 before, you may as well stick to C++, unless you want to venture out into the world of .NET programming (with C#)

You just asked a huge question there, so rather than listing a few, here's some articles (a google search).
