    Get own .com

    How can we get our own .com using Apache. We got a server which is always online anyway and would like to publish our homepage from this server. Now we heard about Apache, but are there also other possibilies and which are the best???

    I don't know whether you want to buy a domain name or whether you want to use a different web server.

    To buy a .com domain name, you'd have to get it from a domain reseller such as www.godaddy.com

    As for web servers, there are others such as IIS and TomCat. On the internet, Apache and IIS are the most popular choices.
