    Speaker Settings

    Hi,

    I have a problem with my speaker settings - I have 5.1 surround sound speakers, but every couple of weeks or so, Windows likes to reset the setting back to Desktop stereo speakers.

    As I haven't found why, is there a way to check this quickly using the registry API, then run a small program on startup to set it back if it has changed?

    EDIT: Just thinking: is this something that has to be done with DirectSound (the detection, that is)?
