Crystal report ? What references should I include ? Thanks.

What do you mean by a 'discrete' value?

You can use the parameters collection.
VB Code:
'Add first parameter
oReport.ParameterFields.Item(1).ClearCurrentValueAndRange
oReport.ParameterFields.Item(1).AddCurrentValue dStartDate
'Add second parameter
oReport.ParameterFields.Item(2).ClearCurrentValueAndRange
oReport.ParameterFields.Item(2).AddCurrentValue dEndDate
