Pumpkin pie is great. I'm looking forward to getting back into a "normal" eating routine though. I have had enough sweets, pies, and general junk food to last me a life time. Went way over the top this year.

My husband gave me a mandolin for Christmas. It's beautiful. I can't wait to learn how to do it justice! My kids all gave me beautiful angel figurines to add to my collection...I already have three living angels (my kids).

If you ever come visit, Dennis, I'll make you a pumpkin pie of your very own. I won't even make you share!!!!!!

Oh well. I guess it's the thought that counts. You should learn how to cook one yourself. Girls really like a guy that can cook!

Good for you, Dennis. My boys learned to cook when they were young and this year they gave all the girls they hang around with fudge for Christmas. The girls loved it. They were really glad I made them learn to cook!

I haven't made fudge yet... mainly because I don't know how..

I like cooking, but not in my kitchen... it's too small.. and there's no place to put anything... the table broke, so now we don't have one in there, and the counters always have drying dishes on them... but I like cooking at my grandmothers more... her kitchen is bigger.. and she has more spices and stuff...

It's great that your Grandma lives close enough for you to visit. It sound like you need a safer place to go sometimes. I worry about you.

thats about 1/2 true.. she used to.. she lives about 2 maybe 3 blocks away.. but mothers day '98 she had a stroke, and now she lives with us.. my mom takes care of her, because she can't get out of the bed..

I worry about you because you're a nice kid and I like you! It sounds like you don't have much joy in your life...with the exception of your computer. Every kid should have the right to be happy...especially on Christmas. :-(

Glad to hear it! You just sounded so very unhappy. Maybe it's just the reading instead of hearing...hard to tell without inflection sometimes.

Yeah, it's great! Love the colour scheme (I like blue)!
Interesting illustration for your trig explanations...

Oh, so have you done calculus then? I love it...it has to be one of the most useful maths techniques possible.

Try eating pumpkin pie that doesn't have any sugar added, it tastes like squash.

Never had pumpkin pie - but if they are anything like the pecan pie and key lime pie that I had in the States, you can keep it. Too sweet by half. Nice cup of tea is best (and you Americans really do not do tea well...)

Dennis, if you like geometry and trig, then calculus will blow your mind. It is an extremely powerful technique discovered in the seventeenth century by Gottfried Leibnitz although Isaac Newton published first and claimed all the credit. Great man, Newton, but not nice.

    Cheers,

I thought they got it at the same sort of time...anyways, we were told that they both did it - I never associated it with either.

But Dennis - Calculus is fantastic, and REALLY makes life easy. (unless, of course, it's differential equations...they can keep them!)

That's about how I'd explain it, anyway - it's a good tutorial. If you need more I'll scan in a couple of pages from my maths textbook.

Damned if I know. She wrote it, not me. You can play it
