media player 10 (Grrrrr!)
just got a new PC and it came with media player 10, and i was wondering if anyone else who uses it sometimes get green screens and slow motion video with normal speed sound. If so how do you stop it from happening?
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Did you try Windows Update? You may be trying to play a format that wasn't on your machine when it was setup.

Re: media player 10 (Grrrrr!)
I get green screens when streaming video only, and the video turns upside down, which is quite odd.
A couple of solutions include the following:
- Update your GFX card drivers to the latest versions. This may fix some graphics related problems.
- Resize the window whenever the green appears and see if that fixes it.
- Drag the progress slider back a second or two and see if it fixes it.
- In the options, drag the performance slider down a notch. - This one worked for me.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
