No. VB can do anything C# can do so they are pretty much equivalent, as are all managed .Net languages. C# is no more suited to games than VB is to printing invoices. C# == VB (sort of).

You'll never learn VB.NET from the Web. The best thing you can do is to buy a book - MS Visual Basic.NET Step By Step and Karl Moore Visual Basic.NET The Tutorials.
When you're done with books then you can go online and learn from tutorials.
VBfan.com
Non english site. Croatian Visual Basic.NET site.

Yes, good advice. That's what I always do. Also, NEVER go for "beginner" based books, because the learning curve is shallower than Paris Hilton.

If you new to programming in general then a beginner's book wouldn't be so bad.

Good point, if you are a User drawn to the dark side, then yes go for a nooby book.

Wrox are one of my faves too but equally, I find it hard to have those scary people staring up at me from my desk or down from my bookshelf.
I can also highly recommend books published by Deitel. I work as a trainer and out of all the books I've ever recommended to nooby VB and C# programmers, they usually come out best for a good, all round overview.
