    wireless printing

I know how to print wirelessly from my laptop if the printer is hooked up to my desktop. The problem with this is, the desktop must stay on all the time, and I don't want this. So is there a way I could somehow connect my printer to the router or something so I wouldn't have to leave my desktop on?

Note: I don't want to buy a print server.

Without a print server, no you can't. The printer needs something to connect to that can access the network. That's either a print server or a computer.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
