Two or more bootable OSs in 1 DVD ?

I heard it's possible by using a program that lists these OSs in DOS .Right ?

    Thanks

I don't know if you even need DOS format. I don't see why you couldn't have a boot program running on the DVD that selects partitions and operating systems, like there used to be in dual-boot systems. I had ME and 2000 running on the same drive (although it wasn't reccommended, as they both shared the registry, and ended up hosing my system.) I didn't have separate partitions, though.

Maybe you didn't get me . I'm trying to copy Win2000 and XP installation disks into 1 DVD and can install any of them from DOS . I don't want to do dual boot OS . Is this possible ?
I did somehting similar but didn't work . It was with VS.NET 2003 disks . I wrapped them in 1 DVD , 1 disk installs , when it asks for cd2 it won't install (though I provid the correct path in the DVD) .

I tried this today and things got little dirty (lost couple DVDs just for testing) because I didn't have DVD-RAM . Anyway , I followed instuctions in that doc file , installed the first phase but it asked about disk1 . I then tried to copy the content of that DVD I burnt on the HD , it worked perfect . Same content , same dirs structure. I can't think of why it won't install off the DVD!!! .

They need something special in order to do that. It doesn't matter if you
copy the discs completely. The install program looks at the volumn label and
directory structure for validation, not just if the file is there. I will look for the
process to do it and post when I find it.

    Later.

you would probably need two volume labels. maybe you could change the volume lable in a batch file.

I think you mean CAN'T if it is burnt into the CD.

Not sure if you can have two partitions on a CD/DVD with different volume labels. I'm thinking NO. And you wouldn't be able to change it if was burnt in.

Re: Two or more bootable OSs in 1 DVD ?

I dont know why it didnt work... I'm gonna have to test my dvd aswell

here should be a work around so the dvd is not a waste:

For XP/2K/2K3 (this will not work in 9x, as if ppl still use it :P) w/ NTFS Partitions

Right click on my computer and select Manage

    Under Storage > Disk Management

Right click the dvd rom drive you are using for the msdn dvd and select Change Drive Letter and paths...

    Click Add
Now type the path to the drive (i used c:\mnt\dvd1)

now just browse to c:\mnt\dvd1\ and run setup from here.

I dont understand why it doesnt work :/

it probably checks the disk volume label.

No you can't. When you think about it, how can there possibly be multiple partitions?
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

Yes, I meant cant. Seems like I am getting allot of typos lately where a keypress
    is not registering.

Has anyone done anymore testing? I dont have a DVD burner.
