    Resolved using two monitors

    I have seen others using the two monitors on one pc...(.ie you can drag a mouse from one monitor to the next monitor),do I need more than one graphic cards to do that. What are the procdeures that need to be done?

    Many new video cards now come with two connectors for driving two monitors. Typically called DualHead video cards. This is the easiest way to use two monitors because the card along with the included manufacturers drivers is all you need.

    Another development team at our company just uses a "Standard" dell graphic card and windows XP handles the dual monitors just fine.
    They run two flat screens, tilted on their side and have a great view of code in one window and SQL server in the other.

    Five years ago you needed a $1000 speciality graphics card.

    will there be any conflict if one monitor is CRT while the other is lcd? And i am using an normal video card ....does that mean that i will buy a dual connector and xp will work it out? Is there a way to confirm this will work out before buying the connector?

    Nope it doesn't matter if you mix and match CRT and LCD. If you card has a DVI and a VGA connector, you can buy DVI to VGA adapters that will allow you to use two VGA connectors on the graphics card.
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
