Beta testers required for new web/file server program that allows sharing of files/web pages. Set up a folder on your machine you can safely share to other users via http (pot 80). They use their web browser to access your shared folder and download any shared files. Very lightweight and super cool. Also features a search engine (for finding those mp3's etc.) Anyone interested in testing can download the application and send me a quick email and I will reply with a registration key for the program which allows unlimited free use and automatic updates to future versions. There is also a link to a new chat program that I am writing. I would really like as much feedback as possible. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you could do a hosting option so that they can have a permanent url that then redirs to their server ?
Like:
http://www.(yoururl).com/(theirusername)

That would be a good idea for people who have static IP's but for poor dialup users their IP's would always be changing. Thanks for the suggestion... I'll think more on it.

Thats why u make it so ur app connects to a main server which in turn changes the redir page to their new ip !

So based on a user name the app would connect to the main server and it would search the database for their username and update the ip. I see what you mean but would it actually be worth the work when there are tons of hosting sites out there already?

Uploading wouldn't be bad idea and fairly easy to implement. I'll see what I can do.
