Figure this out. (network issues)
Hi All,
My friend has the most wierdest problem.
I have just put a new computer on a freinds network and when I go into one of the drives and open up a excel doc I then click save as and change the name of the file to a new name. an error message comes up and says cant save as, as the folder is read only. It is ok with word and other doc's. I have tried changing the main folder to not be read only but it keeps changing it back to read only. Also they have no problems when they had there old computer running on the network. The only thing that is diffrent is the os has changed from 98 to xp and the version of office is 2003 from 97.
This seems very strange and don't know how to solve it please help.
