Is it possible to disable the touch mouse pad in a laptop?[Resolved]
I'm using normal mouse and wanna disable the touch built-in mouse pad. I checked device manager but it's not there . How can I disable it?

my Dell has an icon in the .... small icon place ... next to the clock.
Control Panel >> mouse didn't turn up anything?

I disabled it but it's still working . I just can't find anything related to it there ...

I wonder how many charact
Some bios' allow you to disable it there... i supposed you already check there of course.
Otherwise, just machine a small metal plate and putty glue it to that area of your laptop.

add another mouse, and disable the device?
you might have to reboot.

I have a bar directly above the mousepad that toggles it on and off. A message appears on the screen to confirm the selection.

Check the manual for your laptop, sometimes it's a special key combo using the Fn key, like, on my old one, Fn+T disabled it.

No , I couldn't find it anywhere in Device Manager . I'll check in the BIOS setup now .
