Filmmaker desperately seeking attention through controversy is killed by radical extremists in a nation that claims to be tolerant of differences.

    How's that for a summary?

Van Gogh was killed for his radical views on the islamic religion. He was shot and stabbed and his killer left a note with the explanation of his deed.

Van Gogh wrote radical columns in which he insulted muslims and tried to provoke them to start a discussion. He also made a movie that shows the oppression of muslim women. In the film, phrases from the Koran are projected on the naked body of a woman. I don't know if the film is downloadable, but it's in English so for all you here it would be an interesting view.

As retaliation, some (I believe two) islamic schools have been burned down by some 'white pride worldwide' group.

Today the police has raided a house that is supposedly inhabited by muslim terrorists. So far there seems to be no connection to Van Gogh's murder.

All in all quite a week here...

Just checking: Submission is downloadable with Kazaa. Search for 'submission' in video format, if anyone is interested.
