live video streams upside down!!?
Hi,
when i try to see live video for example a .asf or .asx
file content from the web, my windows media player streams them upside down and also it turns the color green.
i have tried the performance tab in the tools>options setting but none has worked.
i am running windows xp prof. and media player 10.
my graphics card is a ATI Mobility M6 (32 mb).
please note that this was not a problem at first and it suddenly happend. could it be a virous or did i delete a file (ex. dll) mistakenly?
please if you have any suggestions.
thankyou very much

I'd re-install WMP 10. Something sounds hosed there.

I've searched and found this as a possible solution:
Go to Tools -> Options -> Performance -> Advanced
Deselect "Use video mixing renderer" this fixed the problem for me and still allows brightness adjustment and the like.
I thought that I've seen an option to invert the display, but I couldn't find it just now...

I found this
someone with the same problem
post the file link, and I'll give it a try. It may be a problem having a different player loaded, or it may not be. I have RealPlayer, but I'm willing to give it a try.

I suspected that it was you, but wasn't sure.
If you think its the firewall, just turn it off and try it! I have mine on, too.

I had this same problem once a long time ago. It wasn't from live video thought. But the way I fixed it was downloading a bunch of Codec's and it finally fixed the problem of showing the video upside down.

I hear the audio, but the picture is scrambled, just wavy pink lines. I'll try it again to be sure... Nope.
I had problems with the screenshot, so I gave up.
It didn't work right, and I couldn't understand the audio.

Hm worked fine for me. You made sure you had the most up to date WMP and hotfixes? I know there is at least one hotfix out for WMP 10 beause its in my add or remove programs list
If you dont have that try it, if you do I dunno, possibly a codec but usually if you dont have the correct codec WMP will just tell you it can't play the file or something like that.

Couldn't find any HotFixes, but I just played it again, and it worked fine. For a few seconds (after viewing playlist) it turned green, but then it reverted to normal.
Try Windows Update.
