MS Internet Transfer Control 6 not working any more [resolved]
I had made an application earlier using that control. It worked fine. I then installed another application (which was totally sepperate). It must have over-written with older DLLs (that's what happnes when I press yes without reading the message)). Now my app with the Inet transfer control doesn't get the file from the net anymore.
My network packet sniffer also stopped working, but I simply uninstalled an re-installed that and it worked. But I still can't get my app to work.
When I try running it, it takes a damn long time and filnally comes up with:
run-time error 35761
request timed out.
How can I get this working again?

either Windows Update, or use the XP cd, and run SFC (system file checker). for help, do SFC /? but I think you want /FIX or maybe /REPAIR. It will copy over anything not on the system.

I tried a windows update, that didn't work.
I tried shoving in tmy XP CD and looking for that option, I couldn't find it.
I also tried making a package of my application using that component and installing that. I hoped it would install all the required files. It didn't help.

OK. I re-installed VB and it's service pack and now it works.
