From the titles:
1) Advanced Computer Systems Development
2) Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma / MSc in IT (with options)
they seem different but when I read the course contents they look pretty similar. hmmm
From the explanation I can see that the first one is for people willing to develop information systems, which is a kind of software. I understand information systems as software that stores, manages and provides information so people in organisations can do their job. For example, a payroll system. To develop information systems you need to know a bit about the nature of organisations and the business processes the software is going to serve. Additionally you need to learn how to develop software in general i.e. OOdevelopment and databases.
The second one, IT, sounds more generic. IT could be use in businesses but also in other kind of environments. IT is not only development of software, or programming. I think this one covers more but more superficially.
I hope this helps.

Re: Which course ?
The first looks more in-depth and concentrates on Software Development, whereas the 2nd is more Generic like the poster before me mentioned.
It depends what line you want to take, if you wish to choose Software Development as a proffession then I would recommend First One. Personally I would choose the first one.

There is a great war coming. Are you sure you are on the right side? Atleast I have chosen a side.
