    ActiveX Error

    I am using Office XP, Professional and have VB5 and VB6 and service pack 6 installed.

    Every time I open Word I get the following message box appear.

    Caption: Microsoft Visual Basic

    "ActiveX component can't create object"

    and 2 command buttons OK and Help

    Does anyone have anyideas as I have installed Office 5 times and still the error appears so I have the feeling it's to do with VB.

    Why don't you use FileMon (www.sysinternals.com) and see which ActiveX control on particular its trying to instantiate?
