    Crystal 9 & MS Access; A string field shows zero length

    I'm reading data into a crystal report from an MS Access query via ODBC connection. The query has a MEMO field that is trimmed to appear as a text field. When trying to read this field into Crystal the length of the string appears to be zero. The query displays the field fine, so why won't it import into Crystal OK?

    Once I remove the Trim() function the field imports sucessfully, so what's the problem with the trim function & Crystal v9. I didn't have this same problem with v8.

    How can I rectify this? I need the trim function.
