    Problem starting Excel

Every time i try to open excel i get the following error
    "Code Execution has been interrupted"
continue end debug help - the debug button is grayed out.
I have written an excel macro, but i even removed the xla file and i am still getting this error. when i click end it gets me into excel.
any ideas why this might be happening...
    Thanks

It is probably a diferent macro that is failing, which could be in an add-in or in the Auto-start template file.

To see if it is an add-in, go to "Tools" - "Add-ins". If there are any items ticked then un-tick them, and close & re-start Excel. If the error is still there (or nothing was ticked to start with) then Add-ins arent the problem.

I cant remember what the auto-start template file is called, but it is loaded each time Excel starts, and could well be causing the issue if code has been added to it. I think it is something like AutoStart.xls, and is stored somewhere in the Office folder within program files.
