    What is VBA ?

    Hi Every Buddy


    I want to ask few question regarding VBA ? and I hope some of you will give me a better understanding of the questions.... for which i m very thankful to all of you in advance.

    Questions :

    1- What is VBA ?
    2- Why it is Used ?
    3- Its Advantages ?
    4- What other SIMILAR Technology is available ?

    I guess that asking so many questions at once is not a good practice, but I want to know it all since I have never worked on VBA..

    1.) Visual Basic for Applications (MS Office Apps).
    2.) To increase/extend the functionality of Office applications with
         your own custom functions/procedures/menu items/toolbars,
         etc.
    3.) See #2.
    4.) Visual Basic or any other programming language that can
         access COM.
