It rings a bell all i can remember is that either changed the oeminfo.ini or created one and the fist line was [General] and and to change the logo i changed the oemlogo.

That file isn't there by default, rather when you buy it from an OEM retailer, it is there to brand the installation with their logo and a button usually containing contact details. It sits in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder. Google it for more details.
