Looking for Mentor
I am new to Vb.net. But i know the very basic's. Anyways, I want to start heading toward game creation. I don't have any money to buy a book. So, I am looking for a mentor. If anyone is interested. talk me through AIM, MSN or email:

yes I am sure everyone here is interested in volunteering their time to teach you how to game program
while you may not be able to afford a book, there are plenty of online resources you can use.
my suggestion is learn VB.NET very well before trying to create games as all the core functionality of VB.NET will play large rolls in any game you might make

Post for help in the games section, they'll be able to give you a direction on what you need to learn.
