Downgrading Direct X?
I understood that when i installed DirextX 9.0b before i couldnt Un-install it. It didnt however mention downgrading.
As with the problems i have been facing, old drivers etc, i decided to Download DirectX 8 and install that over 9.0
I did it with no warning or anything, only thing is in dxDiag it still shows that im using DirectX 9.0
Bah i hate Microsoft!
Any ideas anyone?

Old drivers shouldn't matter to it though, because it is backwards compatable.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

well apparently my Drivers are too old for DirectX 9
I downloaded this thing called "DirectX Eradicator" which claims to Un-install the core files, didnt work.

Yeah it won't. DirectX changes core Windows files so Windows can use DirectX's features to render things, you can't get rid of it and you can't downgrade it.

I've only ever seen this problem once before, tis very odd... Try getting newer drivers to fix it either fromt he official sources or www.driverguide.com
