Question FedEx DLLS and My Host

My host supports ASP.NET so here is my question.

FedEx provides an API for ASP.NET to track shipments from our company's website. However when I opened the bin folder I nopticed that they are using 3 DLLS that are prefaced with Interop.

So when I upload these DLLS to my host, will the code still work or will I need to ask my host to register these DLLS on their server?

    Thanks for replying.

    Answer

yes for those api's you will have to have them registered with IIS by your host. If you do not want to have to do this you will need to elect to use the FedEx Ship Manager Direct, which will allow you to form your own ssl socket to relay an xml request and receive and interpret the response containing rate or tracking information. You only need the api's if you want to print labels
    Regards,

    Aeros
