JDBC backends?{resolved}
Does anyone do any jdbc programming and if so what do you use as a back end? Ive been trying to get my hands on Oracle 9i lite or 10g but its impossible for me to download over 600Mb. After about eight or nine hours downloading my connection just clips.

I use Oracle 9i, and hopefully soon 10g (fingers crossed) on the lighter clients, i've played with MySQL which seems pretty good, and there is also one called point base, which i believe is shipped with netbeans 3 (Sun One)..
I also once applied for a trial of SQL server and they sent me a copy, which i just reinstalled after the 30 days were up... naughty i know!
What do you actually need the back end for? obvioulsy data storage, but are we talking GB's or just playing with structures?!

Yeah ive been trying to get my hands on Oracle 9i with not much luck. I know that they can send you a copy but its expensive and my dial up connection just aint gonna cut downloading 600Mb. I mainly just want a back end to screw around with. Do some JDBC programming and stuff.
