Easy Linux Gentoo install

I'm "trying" to install gentoo, but I'm having a ***** of a time!

Is there any easy way to install this?

I looked through the readme file that came with the download of the distro and there's like 10 pages of instructions to install it.

Do I have to follow all these steps or can I just do some kind of automated install that just uses default settings?

I just want to check out Gentoo and play around with it. I don't really care to get into all the details right now.

Any help would be great!

no actually gentoo doesnt have an installer its all manual there are 3 different stages you can choose to use to install but stage 1 takes forever cause you compiler everthing and stage 2 takes along time cause you compile everything but the bootstrap, and stage 3 is a pretty much ready to go system so i recommend installling from stage 3. but i have heard that there is a gentoo installer out there but i dont know where to get it as i personally perfer installing it they way they intend. and o yeah make sure to follow the instructions perfect good luck and have fun with gentoo its a great distro

edit: check this out it is supposed to be the installer for gentoo i have never used it so i dont know how it works but if you use it let me know how it goes

Just follow the instructions. You will learn alot more about using Linux intalling Gentoo. its worth the time.
