Popups
I must have accidently installed some strange software the other day. Anytime I press the "search" button in google, a pop-up opens up to a website called "websearch24"
I searched for all files modified/created on the day it happened, but no luck.. So I'm assuming it has something to do with IE plugin's perhaps?
Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Not NoteMe
Download and run 'ad-aware'. A search on this forum will give you a link to download it (i don't have the URL to hand).
If that doesn't work i suggest re-installing IE.

I was thinking about getting "ad-aware" but that basically blocks the pop-ups instead of removing the actual software that causes it.
Who knows what else it may be doing?

Download the Google toolbar from toolbar.google.com and that will stop your popup ads. Then install Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.nu. Ad-aware will not block popup ads, don't know where you got that from, you need the google toolbar for that.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
